In 2013, LINK received two endowment-based grants from the Hancock County Community Foundation. In May of 2013, LINK found a “home” at the HCCF by becoming one of five tenants in the building by way of a $6,500 grant for rent. The payout is designated to allow LINK a chance to build up revenue for sustaining operations, and the HCCF will allocate funds on a yearly basis to offset a percentage of the yearly rent costs- %75, %50, $25. The other grant LINK received was in September of 2013; this grant came from the Adult Life Long Learning Fund, and LINK received $19,949. The money supports LINKS’s efforts for daily operations and services provided to the Hancock County Community.
In 2013, LINK received $2,300 from the NineStar Connect Operation RoundUp fund. The money for this grant is acquired by NineStar Connect customers who have agreed to “round up” their monthly telephone bills to the nearest dollar, and the extra pennies are placed in an account for distribution to individuals and organizations in need within the NineStar Connect service area. Every penny counts, and we are very grateful!
