The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the application used by nearly all colleges and universities to determine eligibility for federal, state, and college-sponsored financial aid, including grants, educational loans, and work-study programs. To be considered for aid, anyone planning on attending college in the fall of 2014 or the spring of 2015 should plan to complete their FAFSA by March 10, 2014.
On February 25, 2014, LINK organized an event to make the FAFSA filing process a little less intimidating. Experts from the National Center for College Costs were invited to a FAFSA Day: Support for Adults, at the Hancock County Public Library. This opportunity was specifically designed for adult students who are interested in continuing or beginning to pursue an education beyond high school and included a FREE meal and FREE child care.
